AMSTERDAM, 21 June, 2016 – Today we are proud to announce our strategic partnership with the ‘International Centre for Integrated assessment and Sustainable development’ (ICIS) at Maastricht University. Together with ICIS, we will be looking for opportunities to collaborate in European Calls for research projects on sustainable (urban) development.
ICIS at Maastricht University has become a leading institute in research and education for sustainable development. ICIS wants to support sustainable development at the local and regional levels, which contributes also to global sustainability. Through our research we contribute to the scientific debate about sustainable development, but we also try to achieve a constructive social impact towards sustainability in practice. Our multidisciplinary team has expertise in integrative approaches from sustainability assessment, innovation and governance, and first-hand experience with transdisciplinary work at the interface of science, policy and society. Priority areas are currently sustainable urban development (e.g. energy, mobility, greening, and urban labs) and social value creation (e.g. transitions, public value, social inclusion, value chains and certification).
